Telangana CM credits K. Rosaiah for 16,000 crore surplus at state formation

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy stated that the state possessed a budget surplus of 16,000 crore rupees at the time of its formation on June 2, 2014. Speaking at the foundation stone laying ceremony for the Arya Vysya Atma Gaurav Bhavan in Uppal Bhagayat, Reddy attributed this financial position to the foresight of former undivided Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister K. Rosaiah.

Reddy highlighted Rosaiah’s significant political legacy, noting that he served as the longest-running finance minister of undivided Andhra Pradesh and presented the state budget 16 times. The Chief Minister also reflected on his personal relationship with Rosaiah, recalling how the former leader provided guidance on maintaining composure and patience during his tenure in the Legislative Council.

Additionally, Reddy praised the Arya Vysya community for its values of self-respect and economic resilience. He expressed the government's commitment to supporting the community and encouraged its members to participate more actively in politics to ensure better representation.
