Telangana CM Revanth Reddy Faces Criticism Over Land Lease and Defends HYDRAA

AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi urged Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to intervene in a 30‑year lease of 5,220 sq yds of prime land belonging to the Urdu Academy in Shaikpet. The lease to private firm N N Infra and Constructions was issued by the minority‑welfare secretary without required public notice or senior‑level approval, Owaisi said, questioning the legality of the order and noting the property's estimated value of more than ₹100 crore.

CM Revanth Reddy responded to a separate controversy, stating the state will review the Telangana High Court’s order on the removal of HYDRAA Commissioner AV Ranganath. He defended the government’s prerogative to post officials, accused political opponents and land‑encroachers of submitting false documents, and pledged to strengthen HYDRAA, the agency tasked with protecting government parks, lakes and other lands. Reddy also called for strict action against question‑paper leaks in examinations.
