Telangana CM's 'criminal' comment on engineers prompts KTR's apology demand

K. T. Rama Rao (KTR), executive chair of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi, wrote to opposition leader Rahul Gandhi urging a public apology from Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao after the CM called engineering students and teachers "criminals" and used other disparaging remarks. In the letter, KTR praised the youth as the nation’s greatest strength, citing their work in AI, aerospace, semiconductors and space technology, and said the CM’s statements insulted millions of students, parents and educators. KTR also held Rahul Gandhi politically responsible for the controversy, demanding that he condemn the remarks and that the CM retract his statements immediately.
