Telangana Deputy CM urges filmmakers to drive social change

During a visit to Praja Bhavan, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and his wife presented a Dasara gift to actress Rashmika Mandanna and her husband, Vijay Deverakonda.

Speaking at the Bathukamma Young Filmmaker Challenge Awards-2026 in Hyderabad, Vikramarka encouraged young filmmakers to utilize cinema to address critical social and environmental issues, such as climate change, water scarcity, and energy conservation. He noted the government's efforts to establish Hyderabad as a national filmmaking hub by improving infrastructure.

Separately, Rashmika Mandanna discussed Vijay Deverakonda’s performance in the film ‘Ranabaali’. She compared his intense character transformation to Allu Arjun’s portrayal of Pushpa Raj in ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’, noting how Deverakonda’s immersion into the role created a distinct persona on set.
