Telangana DGP C. V. Anand launches AI‑driven emergency drones and advances police school

Director‑General of Police C. V. Anand reviewed the progress of the Young India Police School (YIPS) at Manchirevula, urging rapid completion to make it a model institution for children of police personnel, martyrs and civilians. The school, which began operations last year, now has 345 students up to Class 6 and emphasizes holistic education, discipline, patriotism and values‑based learning.

Anand also announced a pilot deployment of AI‑enabled drones in the Hyderabad, Cyberabad, Malkajgiri and Future City commissionerates. Integrated with the new Dial 112 emergency response system, the drones will serve as aerial first responders, providing real‑time visual intelligence for fires, road accidents, disasters, law‑and‑order incidents, crowd events and search‑and‑rescue missions. The rollout is part of the Telangana Emergency Response Support System, which will expand AI, predictive analytics, smart‑city integration and multilingual virtual assistants across the state’s emergency services.
