Telangana DGP orders increased security in Malkajgiri

Telangana Director General of Police C. V. Anand has ordered intensified security measures and enhanced patrolling across the Malkajgiri Commissionerate. The directive follows recent high-profile incidents, including the murder of a five-year-old girl in a gated community and an arms heist in Bollaram.

During a review meeting, Anand emphasized the necessity of technology-driven urban policing, urging officers to utilize the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems (CCTNS) more effectively. He specifically instructed gated communities to strengthen CCTV surveillance to prevent future crimes.

In addition to addressing violent crime, the DGP directed police to crack down on property offenses, including residential burglaries and thefts allegedly linked to a Nepalese gang. Officers were tasked with identifying crime hotspots in areas such as Keesara, LB Nagar, and Uppal, while ensuring prompt responses to Dial 112 emergency calls.
