Telangana Extends Ration Card e‑KYC Deadline to August 31

The Telangana government has moved the deadline for mandatory e‑KYC of ration‑card beneficiaries from July 31 to August 31. The extension was announced to accommodate heavy rains and the ongoing Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls.

Beneficiaries who fail to complete e‑KYC by the new deadline risk having their ration supplies cut off and their cards cancelled. The state is also distributing new smart ration cards, sized like ATM cards, bearing the state logo and photographs of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Civil Supplies Minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy. These cards are being dispatched to districts and then to local mandals for distribution to ration shops.

The e‑KYC process can be completed free of charge at Mee Seva centres or designated ration shops using Aadhaar verification and biometric capture.
