Telangana BJP chief arrested amid protests and law and order concerns

Political tensions have escalated in Telangana following the arrest and house arrest of BJP State President N. Ramchander Rao. The BJP alleges that Rao was detained by police in Hyderabad to prevent him from traveling to Nalgonda to support a local leader whose residence was allegedly attacked by Congress workers.

In response to the arrest, the BJP staged massive protests across the state, with several leaders detained. Party members have accused the Congress-led government of stifling democracy and creating an “undeclared emergency.”

Simultaneously, the BJP has criticized the state government regarding the law and order situation following the alleged rape and murder of a 21-year-old nurse in the Rangareddy district. Rao and other party members have demanded strict action and expressed concerns over the safety of women in the state, calling for a swift and impartial investigation into the crime.
