Telangana High Court designates 22 lawyers as Senior Advocates

The Telangana High Court has designated 22 lawyers as Senior Advocates following a Full Court meeting held on September 16. The decision was made under the chairmanship of Chief Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh.

The selection process involved 48 applicants who underwent interviews and interactions with the Permanent Committee for Designation of Senior Advocates in August. This latest designation brings the total number of senior advocates in the Telangana High Court to over 100. The court’s previous designation of senior advocates occurred in 2022, when 36 individuals were selected.

Among those newly designated is public prosecutor and former president of the Telangana High Court Advocates’ Association, Palle Nageswar Rao. The full list of the 22 advocates includes Mantri Rama Rao, A. K. Jaya Prakash Rao, M. Rajendra Reddy, Yerabati Rama Rao, Manmohan Dundu, Kalpana Ekbote, A. Prabhakar Rao, Y. Ratnakar, K. Raghavacharyulu, J. V. Prasad, E. Uma Maheshwar Rao, Srinivas Velagapudi, Dr. Juttukonda Vijayalaxmi, Chetluru Srinivas, Palle Nageswar Rao, V. V. S. N. Raju, P. S. Rajasekhar, Ramesh Vishwanathula Vishwanath, Thomas George, Chikkudu Prabhakar Babu, P. Vishnuvardhana Reddy, and Vivek Jain.
