Telangana High Court issues notices over administrative delays
The Telangana High Court has taken action against government officials regarding the failure to implement previous court orders. In one instance, Justice T Madhavi Devi expressed dismay over the prolonged delay in the regularisation of employees within various educational institutions in the former Warangal region. Despite orders dating back to 2019 and a contempt petition filed in 2021, officials have failed to complete the process. The court has set a deadline of November 27 for a final implementation report, noting that officials may be required to appear in person if they fail to comply.
In a separate contempt case, Justice Surepalli Nanda issued a notice to Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju and four other senior officials. The notice follows allegations of willful disobedience regarding a July 2026 order to clear pending bills for fish seed supplies. The respondents are required to explain their position either personally or through legal counsel.
