Telangana IT Minister unveils AI avatar at DevFest Hyderabad

Telangana IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu has debuted a digital AI avatar designed to engage with citizens and discuss the state’s technological ambitions. The avatar made its first live appearance at DevFest 2026 in Hyderabad, an event organized by the Google Developer Group Hyderabad that drew over 3,000 developers and technology professionals.

Developed by the Hyderabad-based company TensorGo using its HumAIn platform, the avatar can communicate in both English and Telugu. During the demonstration, it answered questions from attendees regarding Telangana’s vision for technology-led growth. The project was conducted under the guidance of Sai Krishna, the minister’s IT adviser.

While the avatar currently serves as a conversational interface, future phases of the initiative aim to allow citizens to interact with the digital twin to share feedback and submit grievances. This is intended to help the minister reach a broader audience and gather grassroots insights into governance issues. The minister emphasized during the conference that Telangana aims to become a global AI hub by supporting innovators, startups, and students.
