Telangana launches free AI and cloud training for 100,000 students

The Telangana government has introduced the Telangana AI and Cloud Skilling Initiative to provide free training in advanced technologies to 100,000 students across the state. The program is being implemented through a strategic agreement between the Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (TASK) and Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Students from 643 TASK-affiliated colleges will receive instruction in fields including Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, Data Engineering, Machine Learning, and Generative AI. To ensure inclusivity, the initiative includes specialized learning tracks for non-STEM students in Arts and Commerce, alongside traditional Engineering and Science streams.

Participants will receive one year of free access to over 900 digital courses via AWS Skill Builder and discount vouchers for global certification exams. The program also features hands-on learning through the AWS Cloud Console, hackathons, and industry-connect sessions. To support career outcomes, TASK plans to host job fairs for eligible graduates and provide specialized training for college faculty members.
