Telangana Leads India in Cybercrime Prevention Performance
The Telangana state government was ranked first nationwide in a PRAGATI review conducted by the Prime Minister’s Office. The assessment covered nine parameters of cybercrime prevention, investigation and citizen services, including the establishment of the country's first S4C centre, implementation of the e‑Zero FIR system and use of digital platforms created by the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C).
Telangana achieved an 88% disposal rate on the Grievance Redressal Module, processed 81.38% of cases on the Money Restoration Module restoring cyber‑fraud proceeds worth about Rs 16.42 crore, and removed or disabled 89.41% of targeted URLs through the Sahyog portal. The state also completed 96.68% of inter‑state cyber‑investigation assistance requests and recorded 5,493 arrests linked to cybercrime investigations. A dedicated helpline has been launched to assist citizens with related grievances.
