Telangana man accused in YouTuber wife's murder hacked to death

Chittari Haribabu, a man accused of murdering his pregnant wife in March, was killed in broad daylight in Nizamabad, Telangana. The attack occurred at the Raja Rajendra crossroads while Haribabu was selling corn from a pushcart.

According to police reports and eyewitnesses, an unidentified assailant lunged from a car and attacked Haribabu with a sickle. The victim was reportedly stabbed nine times within 10 seconds and died at the scene. The attackers fled the area in a car following the incident. CCTV footage is currently being analyzed by investigators to identify the suspects.

Haribabu had been arrested earlier this year for the murder of his wife, Gandham Vaishnavi, a YouTuber who ran the channel ‘Vaishu Amma’. Police alleged that Haribabu killed the four-month-pregnant Vaishnavi over unmet dowry demands. Haribabu had recently been released on bail before this fatal attack.
