Telangana Plans Wine Tourism in Rangareddy and Vikarabad

Telangana Tourism Minister Jupally Krishna Rao visited Stone Tower Winery in Leesburg, Virginia, to study vineyard operations, grape varieties, fermentation, bottling, quality control, marketing and visitor‑experience models.

Rao said the state will explore vineyard and winery‑based tourism in the Rangareddy and Vikarabad districts, citing their proximity to Hyderabad, suitable climate for grape cultivation and the potential to attract private investment, create jobs and diversify tourism under the Telangana Tourism Policy 2025‑30. The government will assess locations, climatic conditions and investment models, with public‑private partnerships expected to drive the projects.
