Telangana Police suspend constable for abusive posts targeting K. Kavitha

Telangana Police have suspended constable K. Anil following allegations that he posted obscene, abusive, and derogatory content targeting former MP and TRS president Kalvakuntla Kavitha on social media.

Following a complaint by members of the Telangana Rakshana Sena, a criminal case was registered at the Hyderabad Cyber Crimes Police Station under the Indian Penal Code and the Information Technology Act. Investigators seized the constable’s personal mobile phone, which has been sent to a Forensic Science Laboratory for examination.

The Cyberabad Police have issued a warning to all personnel regarding professional conduct on digital platforms, emphasizing that officers must maintain high standards of discipline and decorum. The department characterized the alleged behavior as “gross negligence, dereliction of duty, and grave misconduct.” An internal departmental inquiry will proceed alongside the criminal investigation.
