Telangana politics heat up over BRS assassination conspiracy allegations

Political tensions have escalated in Telangana following allegations by the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) that the Congress-led government, headed by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, is conspiring to assassinate former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR).

Responding to these claims, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader T.R. Srinivas dismissed the BRS allegations as ‘ridiculous’. Srinivas stated that KCR remains a significant opposition leader and argued that the Congress party would not attempt such an act as it would lead to their own political destruction.

Addressing potential political alliances, Srinivas clarified that the BJP has no intention of forming a coalition with the BRS, asserting that the party intends to contest the 2028 assembly elections independently.
