Telangana pushes land‑resurvey boost and greenlights ₹2.3 trn airfield

Telangana Revenue, Housing, Information and Public Relations Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy directed district collectors to fast‑track the state’s Land Resurvey program, covering 2,240 villages with weekly progress reviews and Gram Sabhas to ensure public participation. The initiative uses DGPS, rover survey systems and GIS mapping to assign a unique Bhoodhar number to each survey parcel and integrate data into the Bhu Bharati portal, aiming to resolve long‑standing land disputes.

Hyderabad’s roads and buildings minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy announced administrative approval for a ₹2,278.14 crore investment to build the Adilabad Joint User Airfield on 2,009.23 acres, allocating 1,609.23 acres to the Indian Air Force and 400 acres for a civil aviation enclave with cargo, MRO facilities and future expansion. Land acquisition and utility relocation are slated for completion by December 2026, with the project expected to generate thousands of jobs and enhance regional connectivity, tourism and defence capabilities.
