Telangana regulatory and judicial bodies issue orders regarding housing disputes

The Telangana Real Estate Regulatory Authority (TGRERA) has granted interim relief to a homebuyer in Hyderabad, restraining Pacifica Constructions Pvt. Ltd. from cancelling a flat allotment. The dispute arose after the developer allegedly demanded an additional ₹5.75 lakh and failed to hand over possession of the Bachupally property by the contractual deadline of November 2023.

Separately, the Telangana High Court has directed the Housing Board to execute and register sale deeds for flat purchasers within 10 days. The court ordered that the board must not insist on interest adjustments or penal interest at this stage. This ruling follows a dispute regarding whether interest owed by the board should be adjusted against the final sale consideration of the flats.
