Telangana to establish Centre of Excellence for MSMEs

The Telangana government plans to establish a Centre of Excellence for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to bolster the sector. Announced by IT and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu during the LUB MSME South India Summit, the center aims to assist businesses with technology adoption, market access, and investment linkages. A primary goal is to promote products manufactured in Telangana within both national and international markets.

To further support small businesses, the state has introduced a dedicated MSME policy and is planning to implement a monthly MSME Grievance Day to facilitate the resolution of business concerns. Additionally, the government is working to improve industrial estates located in Hyderabad and its surrounding areas. Minister Babu encouraged MSMEs to prioritize product quality, skill development, and production capacity to maintain competitiveness.
