Telasco Segovia ruled out of Venezuela's Asia tour due to injury
Telasco Segovia will miss Venezuela’s upcoming tour of Asia due to a muscle injury. The Inter Miami midfielder was initially included in Oswaldo Vizcarrondo’s 34-man squad for friendly matches against Japan, South Korea, and Jordan, but an official MLS availability report confirms a quadriceps injury will prevent his participation.
In addition to Segovia's absence, head coach Oswaldo Vizcarrondo is implementing a generational shift within La Vinotinto. The recent call-up features several young players intended to build depth for the 2030 cycle, including Nicola Profeta and Bianneider Tamayo from Santos, and Marco Libra from Bologna. The squad also integrates domestic talent from the Venezuelan championship, such as Yerwin Sulbarán and Román Davis.
