Telciu hosts fifth ecological thematic camp for students

The fifth edition of the ecological thematic camp, titled ‘Respect for Nature’, took place on August 17–18, 2026, in Telciu. Organized by the teaching staff of the Telciu Technological High School in partnership with the Telciu Commune City Hall and the Bistrița-Năsăud County School Inspectorate, the event served as a primary activity for the Inter-county Ecology and Environmental Protection Competition.

The camp hosted 21 students and 5 teachers from the counties of Iași, Suceava, Cluj, and Bistrița-Năsăud. Participants engaged in various educational and creative activities designed to combine ecological education with teamwork and movement. These included ‘Eco-Creation Challenges’, ‘Land Art’ using natural fabrics, team games, and a ‘secret mission’ to decipher messages.

In addition to environmental activities and camping, the program included a cultural and spiritual visit to the ‘Holy Trinity’ Monastery in Bichigiu.
