Telecable leads Costa Rica telecom satisfaction survey

The Superintendencia de Telecomunicaciones (Sutel) released its National User Perception Survey, revealing high satisfaction levels among Costa Rican telecommunications users, though recommendation rates vary significantly between providers.

In the fixed internet sector, Telecable led with a satisfaction rating of 4.53 out of 5 and the highest intention to recommend at 58.52%. Other major operators included Kölbi (4.32 satisfaction), Tigo (4.24), and Liberty (4.13). Despite high satisfaction scores across the board, recommendation rates for Tigo and Liberty were notably lower, at approximately 25%.

For subscription television, Telecable also secured the top position with a 4.50 satisfaction rating and a 55.32% recommendation rate. In the mobile telephony and internet market, Claro reported the highest satisfaction at 4.61 and a recommendation rate of 62.53%, followed by Kölbi and Liberty.

The survey, which included 6,948 respondents, evaluated factors such as speed, stability, availability, and service quality.
