Telecinco pulls dating show 'Amor o lo que surja' after low ratings
Telecinco will air the final episode of the dating show "Amor o lo que surja" on Friday, 31 July, ending the series just a month after its debut. During its first five weeks the program averaged a 5.6% audience share and 506,000 viewers, well below Telecinco's July average of 6.8% and trailing rival afternoon slots.
The premature cancellation triggers a reshuffle of the channel's afternoon lineup. From 31 July, "El verano se mueve" will start at 15:55 and extend from 75 to 110 minutes. "De lunes a viernes" will move to a 17:45 start and run until 20:00, expanding from 105 to 135 minutes. The game show "Allá tú" will retain its existing schedule, and the Juan ra Bonet quiz will remain untouched.
The decision reflects Telecinco's broader summer programming overhaul, which had earlier dropped other shows and aimed to boost viewership with new formats.
