Telecinco reshapes lineup and staff with Leticia Iglesias departure and new summer shows

Veteran journalist Leticia Iglesias left Telecinco on 29 August 2025 after eight years on the prime‑time news team, moving to Línea Directa Seguros as director of External Communication and Sustainability. Iglesias began her career at Radio Galega and TVE Galicia, later worked for CNN+ covering economics, and held a communications role at Coca‑Cola Spain before returning to Mediaset.

At the same time, Telecinco announced a revamp of its summer afternoon schedule. The changes include a new daily dating show, “Amor o lo que surja”, hosted by Carlos Lozano, a daily edition of the “De Viernes” magazine format, and the return of Paz Padilla to host “El show de Paz” on weekend evenings. Existing programmes such as “El tiempo justo” will see shortened slots. The network aims to boost viewership during the competitive daytime slot.

These moves represent a broader effort by the Spanish broadcaster to refresh its on‑air talent and programming to retain audiences amid growing competition from digital platforms.
