Telecom engineering sectors see academic and industrial developments

In Venezuela, Javier Hernández has assumed leadership of the School of Telecommunications Engineering at UCAB. Hernández anticipates a boom in the Venezuelan telecommunications sector by the second half of 2027, driven by increased investments in the oil, gas, and mining industries, as well as growth in the banking and finance sectors. He noted that the recovery of the national electrical system is a priority to prevent physical damage to equipment and data loss caused by power fluctuations.

In Spain, the University of Málaga held a graduation ceremony for the 2025-2026 class of the Higher Technical School of Telecommunications Engineering. The event included the presentation of commemorative scholarships for graduates of the Master's Degree in Telecommunications Engineering (MUIT). The ceremony highlighted the connection between academic training and the professional community, featuring representatives from both undergraduate and master's programs.
