Telecom Operators Pursue AI‑Driven Intent Services to Boost Revenue
PAC, a market‑research firm, together with Tallence AG released a point‑of‑view paper titled “Telecoms 2030: Intent‑Driven Telcos Unlock Value”. The paper, dated 30 July 2026 in Hamburg, argues that pure connectivity is no longer sufficient for sustainable growth in the telecom sector.
It proposes that operators turn their network, customer and business data into a shared context, adopt modern OSS/BSS, cloud‑native platforms and a “Telco Knowledge Graph”, and use AI to translate defined business goals (“intents”) into automated operational decisions and network actions. According to Dan Bieler, Principal Analyst at PAC, “the telecom industry faces its biggest technological and strategic transformation since the advent of mobile; AI reshapes both processes and the role of operators.” The analysis suggests that such intent‑driven models could open new revenue streams and strengthen market positions.
