Telekom and A1 secure top rankings in European network performance tests

Deutsche Telekom has been recognized by Ookla as the most consistent mobile network in Europe for the first half of 2026. Outperforming more than 120 European providers, the company achieved a consistency score of 73.25, meaning 73.25 percent of its measured connections met the required thresholds for download and upload speeds. Additionally, Telekom ranked second for fastest mobile network and third for best overall mobile network.

In Austria, A1 has won the 2026 fiber optic benchmark test conducted by SMARTPHONE magazine. A1 received an overall grade of ‘Hervorragend’ (99.2 percent), driven by low latency with an average ping of 6.80 ms and download speeds that remained within 2.00 percent of the booked bandwidth. The competitor, Magenta, received a ‘Sehr gut’ (82.3 percent) rating.
