Telekom Baskets Bonn defeat Veolia Towers Hamburg in BBL opener

The Telekom Baskets Bonn secured a decisive 96:72 victory over the Veolia Towers Hamburg in their Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) season opener.

Bonn established an early lead, fueled by strong three-point shooting and efficient free throws. New signing John-Michael Wright led the scoring for the hosts, contributing 22 points through six successful three-pointers. While Hamburg managed to briefly narrow the gap in the first half, Bonn dominated the third quarter with a 20-point cushion heading into the final period.

For Hamburg, Mathys Kangudia was the top performer with 16 points. Despite a late effort in the fourth quarter, the Towers were unable to overcome Bonn's offensive efficiency.
