Telemach Hrvatska potentially for sale at 700 million euros

British investment fund BC Partners is considering the sale of Telemach Hrvatska, with the potential transaction valued at approximately 700 million euros. According to reports from Bloomberg citing sources familiar with the matter, the fund has engaged the American investment bank JPMorgan Chase to explore interest from potential buyers.

The possible sale of the Croatian telecommunications operator may be part of a broader strategy by BC Partners to divest United Grupa, a major telecommunications and media system in Southeast Europe. While previous attempts to sell the entire group were unsuccessful, selling individual companies could serve as an alternative method to realize investment value.

A final decision has not yet been made, and BC Partners may ultimately choose to retain the operator. Financial data for Telemach Hrvatska shows growth in the first half of the year, with revenues reaching 161.7 million euros, a 7 percent increase compared to the same period last year, and adjusted EBITDA increasing by 12 percent to 45.8 million euros.
