Telemundo begins production on medical drama ‘Emergencias. Unidad de Vida’

Telemundo has commenced production on its new original medical drama, ‘Emergencias. Unidad de Vida’. Filming is currently taking place at the Telemundo Studios in Miami, Florida.

The series features a prominent cast led by Ana Brenda Contreras and Erick Elías, alongside Geraldine Bazán, Laura Flores, Ana Belena, Rodolfo Salas, Elizabeth Gutiérrez, Mónica Dionne, and David Palacio. Luis Ernesto Franco holds a starring role, with a special appearance by Arturo Peniche.

Set within the high-pressure environment of a hospital, the plot follows Gabriela Serrano, a medical resident who returns to Florida to confront a complicated family history. As she joins a hospital struggling for survival, the narrative explores ethical dilemmas, personal convictions, and the intersection of professional medical challenges with family and love. Javier Pons, Chief Content Officer and Head of Telemundo Studios, stated the series aims to reflect the experiences and emotions of the Hispanic audience in the United States.
