Teletón Ñuble Institute advances with building handover and lab equipment tender

The construction and equipping of the Teletón Ñuble Rehabilitation Institute in Chillán have reached significant milestones. The Ministry of Public Works (MOP) has officially handed over the building's exploitation act to the Regional Government, marking the completion of the construction phase led by the MOP's Directorate of Architecture.

To prepare the facility for its projected opening in late 2026, the Regional Government has launched a new tender for specialized equipment. This includes a laboratory dedicated to the manufacturing, adaptation, and adjustment of orthotics and prosthetics. The tender covers various technical tools such as compressors, sewing machines, milling machines, and universal cutters, as well as equipment for kinesiology, medical care, and psychological evaluation.

Daniel Concha, director of Teletón Ñuble, noted that the regional laboratory will be vital for producing essential rehabilitation devices locally. Regional Governor Óscar Crisóstomo emphasized that the project fulfills a long-standing regional need and aims to bring fundamental rehabilitation services directly to the local territory.
