Television broadcasters adjust autumn programming schedules

Television broadcasters in Slovakia and the Czech Republic are implementing significant programming changes for the post-summer season.

In Slovakia, Markíza is accelerating the broadcast of the series ‘Robin Hood’ following poor viewership performance. After initially attracting more viewers than the previous series ‘Sandokan’, the show’s market share dropped to approximately 7%, making it one of the station's weakest prime-time programs. The station is now airing two episodes per week to conclude the ten-part series more quickly.

In the Czech Republic, TV Nova is preparing a new season with several major updates. Starting September 1, the station will introduce the new series ‘Boží plán’ and bring exclusive content from the Oneplay platform to linear television. This includes previously unbroadcast episodes from 2022 of the long-running series ‘Ordinace v Růžové zahradě’. Additionally, the singing competition ‘Superstar’ is set to return on September 2, featuring a jury composed of Ewa Farna, Pavol Habera, Jakub Prachař, and Calin.
