Television networks in Brazil and Portugal report shifting audience ratings
Television networks in Brazil and Portugal are experiencing significant shifts in audience ratings across various time slots.
In Brazil, TV Globo maintains a strong lead in prime time. The program ‘Fantástico’ recorded 15.48 points despite the temporary absence of host Maju Coutinho, while ‘Altas Horas’ achieved its best performance of the year with 14.2 points. Meanwhile, SBT is restructuring its programming, replacing the film segment ‘Cinema em Casa’ with the expanded ‘Sessão +SBT Show’. SBT also saw success with ‘Viva a Noite’, which achieved its best results in four months, and ‘Programa do João’.
In Portugal, the competition between major broadcasters remains intense. RTP1 secured prime-time leadership with ‘The Voice Gerações’, outperforming TVI’s ‘Big Brother Verão’. SIC showed strength in the early evening with its news programming, ‘Jornal da Noite’, though it lost momentum later in the night. On Saturday mornings, SIC’s ‘Alô Portugal’ led the ratings, surpassing TVI’s ‘Em Família’ and RTP1’s morning offerings.
