Television networks prepare diverse slate of new shows for fall 2026

The fall 2026 television season features a diverse lineup of new scripted series and returning favorites across major streaming platforms and networks.

Notable upcoming releases include Netflix’s ‘Crew Girl’, a teen drama centered on a competitive rower, and ‘Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story’ on FX/Netflix, which explores the 1892 axe murders of Andrew and Abby Borden. Other highly anticipated projects include a spin-off titled ‘The Drop: A Snowfall Saga’ on FX/Hulu, which shifts the focus of the ‘Snowfall’ universe to the 1990s hip-hop era.

Additional major productions slated for the season include an adaptation of ‘East of Eden’ starring Florence Pugh, an Apple TV+ comedy titled ‘Brothers’ reuniting Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey, and new iterations of the ‘Harry Potter’ franchise. Returning series such as ‘Abbott Elementary’, ‘Yellowjackets’, and ‘Slow Horses’ are also expected to continue their runs.
