Television professionals detail behind-the-scenes broadcast preparation

Television professionals Mariana Ștefan and Lavinia Petrea have shared insights into the intensive preparation required behind the scenes of live broadcasts.

Mariana Ștefan, a producer for the Romanian-language editorial office of Radioteleviziunii Voivodine (RTV 2 Novi Sad), manages programs such as ‘Telejurnal’ and ‘Magazin’. Her work involves extensive coordination, including setting themes, preparing content, and organizing program flows to ensure seamless live broadcasts through close communication with the control room.

In Romania, Pro TV presenter Lavinia Petrea detailed her early morning routine via social media. Her process includes commuting to the newsroom before dawn, undergoing makeup and wardrobe selection, and reviewing news materials over coffee to prepare for the 6:00 AM news broadcast. Both professionals emphasize that the polished on-screen product is the result of significant labor and organization that occurs long before the cameras start rolling.
