Television updates: Chicago P.D. and The Pitt return

New television programming updates have been announced for several popular series. The crime drama “Chicago P.D.”, a spin-off of “Chicago Fire” created by Dick Wolf, is scheduled to return with new episodes on Italia 1 starting September 2, 2026. The series follows the activities of the Chicago Police Department's 21st District, specifically the intelligence unit led by Sergeant Hank Voight.

Additionally, the medical drama “The Pitt,” starring Noah Wyle, is set to return for its third season on HBO Max in January 2027. Produced by John Wells Productions and Warner Bros. Television, the series depicts the high-pressure environment of a modern emergency room in Pittsburgh. The upcoming season follows the critical success of the second season, which received 26 Emmy Award nominations.
