Telewizja Republika journalists face scrutiny over Zondacrypto ties and police search

Controversy has emerged in Poland involving Telewizja Republika journalists and their alleged ties to Zondacrypto. Reports indicate that individuals associated with the station participated in public relations efforts for the cryptocurrency exchange. Specifically, presenter Sławomir Jastrzębowski was reportedly part of a WhatsApp group dedicated to managing the exchange's image, while other staff members allegedly engaged in social media attacks against critical reporters.

Further allegations suggest that intermediaries proposed silencing certain journalists in exchange for advertising budgets. Additionally, a police search was conducted at the residence of a Telewizja Republika investigative journalist. The station's leadership, including Tomasz Sakiewicz, criticized the search, claiming it occurred without the journalist's knowledge and that information regarding the incident was shared with a competing media group owned by Wirtualna Polska.

Documents and correspondence linked to Przemysław Kral, a suspect in related legal proceedings, reportedly show payments made to PR agencies for media consultancy services. The situation has drawn scrutiny regarding the relationship between law enforcement, media outlets, and corporate interests.
