Telšiai hosts fourth annual Tourism Night and international onion-eating contest

The city of Telšiai hosted its fourth annual ‘Tourism Night,’ an event organized by the Samogitia Tourism Information Center. The celebration featured a variety of activities including excursions, music, games, and discussions designed to showcase the city and region to both locals and visitors.

A major highlight of the evening was the ‘Cėbolīnės jiedėma tornīrs,’ an onion-eating competition that attracted participants from five different countries.

Other activities included a ‘Tourism Street’ in the Market Square, where various regional tourism and business information centers presented local attractions. Participants also engaged in historical walking tours of the old town, visits to the Telšiai Yeshiva, and a boat trip on Lake Masčio to view the city from the water.
