Telkom Indonesia joins UN Global Compact and receives sustainability award

PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk has officially joined the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), a United Nations initiative that encourages businesses to adopt responsible and sustainable practices. To achieve membership, the company had to commit to ten principles across four key pillars: human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption. As an active member, Telkom is required to submit an annual Communication on Progress (CoP) to maintain transparency regarding its implementation of these principles.

In a separate recognition of its environmental efforts, Telkom received the SDG Pioneer Award at the Reuters Events Global Sustainability Awards 2026 in London. The award honors the company’s initiative, ‘Pioneering Indonesia’s Path to Net Zero through Green & Blue Carbon Action,’ which focuses on nature-based approaches to carbon sequestration and ecosystem preservation to support net-zero emission targets.
