TelkomGroup and China Unicom partner on digital infrastructure

TelkomGroup has entered into a strategic partnership with China Unicom to explore collaboration in digital infrastructure, connectivity, and technology solutions in Indonesia. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in Jakarta by executives from Telkom, Telkomsel, InfraNexia, Mitratel, and China Unicom.

The collaboration focuses on five key areas: data center ecosystems, artificial intelligence (AI), 5G solutions and use cases, connectivity, and the Internet of Things (IoT). The initiative aims to strengthen Indonesia's national network foundation and enhance the reliability of the digital telecommunications ecosystem to support enterprise customers.

Despite these strategic digital transformation efforts, Telkom Indonesia (TLKM) shares faced selling pressure, closing down 2.34% to Rp 2,500 on September 21, 2026. This decline was accompanied by a net foreign sell-off of Rp 114.62 billion.
