Telkomsel trains over 3,800 teachers in AI skills

Telkomsel has concluded its Terpujilah GURU 2026 program, an initiative designed to equip over 3,800 high school teachers (SMA, SMK, and MA) with artificial intelligence and digital creativity skills. The program, which began in May 2026, included roadshows across various Indonesian regions, including Bogor, Sumedang, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Pekanbaru, Ambon, Jakarta, Bandung, Medan, and Batam, alongside online learning modules.

The training process involved several stages of selection and mentorship. Out of the initial participants, 1,500 underwent intensive selection, 400 joined an online academy, 80 received direct mentoring, and 12 finalists participated in offline training in Jakarta. The curriculum focused on human-centered AI, productivity, AI prompting, visual design, video creation, and creative teaching methods.

The program culminated in an awards ceremony in Jakarta on September 23, 2026, to recognize the finalists' ability to integrate these technologies into practical classroom materials and lesson plans.
