Tellent rolls out agentic AI for HR as research links AI chatbot tone to employee stress

Amsterdam‑based Tellent has introduced a new agentic AI suite for recruitment and HR teams. The Hiring Agent and Analytics Agent provide contextual insights and recommendations based on live product data, but do not make autonomous decisions. More than 7,000 European organisations can apply for the closed beta, and the system is built on a GDPR‑compliant infrastructure aligned with the EU AI Act.

A separate study by researchers at Harvard University, the MIT Center for Collective Intelligence and Kozminski University in Poland examined how the personality of workplace AI chatbots influences employee stress. Participants who worked with a supportive, "servant‑leader" chatbot showed lower physiological stress, while those paired with a hostile, "dark‑triad" bot experienced stress levels up to 72 % higher, resisted the bot more often, and required longer interactions. The findings highlight the importance of AI design and tone in employee well‑being.
