The Tellus Science Museum in Cartersville, Georgia, has opened the first scientifically accurate, life‑size mounted replica of Deinosuchus schwimmeri, a 31‑foot crocodilian that lived in the eastern United States 83‑76 million years ago. The exhibit was created over two years through a partnership between Dr. David Schwimmer of Columbus State University, a leading authority on the species, and Triebold Paleontology Inc., which used high‑resolution 3D scans to reconstruct the skeleton and its dermal armor.

The replica, described as a “school‑bus‑sized terror croc,” allows visitors to appreciate the predator’s scale and provides researchers with a complete skeletal model for study.
