Telmex increases internet speeds for Mexican customers at no extra cost
Telmex has announced an increase in internet speeds for its Infinitum customers in Mexico without changing the monthly service prices. The upgrades will be applied automatically and gradually to both residential and business clients, requiring no additional paperwork or new contracts.
Under the new structure, connection speeds will range from 200 Mbps up to 1,000 Mbps. Specific adjustments include increasing 120 Mbps plans to 200 Mbps, 250 Mbps plans to 400 Mbps, and 850 Mbps plans to 1,000 Mbps. The company noted that this decision responds to the evolving digital needs of users regarding remote work, online education, and high-bandwidth entertainment.
Director General Héctor Slim Seade stated that the company is leveraging its national fiber optic network to support this growing demand for connectivity. The promotion for certain packages is scheduled to remain in effect through September 30, 2026, provided customers remain active and without outstanding debts.
