Tema Development Corporation implements digitalization and expansion plans

The Tema Development Corporation (TDC) is introducing digital systems and strengthening security to improve service delivery and operational accessibility. As part of this initiative, the corporation has begun implementing an enterprise resource planning (ERP) programme to digitalize internal processes and reduce reliance on manual paperwork.

During a visit by the Minister for Works, Housing and Water Resources, Ahmed Ibrahim, TDC officials outlined plans for strategic land acquisitions to expand operations beyond the Greater Accra Region into the Volta Region and Kumasi. This expansion is part of a broader real estate agenda involving residential and commercial developments.

However, the corporation identified significant hurdles to its development goals, including land encroachments and inadequate road access to earmarked sites. Addressing these infrastructure and security challenges is seen as essential to attracting investment and supporting the construction of shops, offices, and residential accommodations. TDC is currently targeting March 2027 for the completion of ongoing construction works.
