Tema Oil Refinery and GOIL partner to boost fuel supply security

The Tema Oil Refinery (TOR) and Ghana Oil Company Limited (GOIL) have held high-level strategic discussions to deepen their partnership and strengthen Ghana’s downstream petroleum sector.

The collaboration aims to improve petroleum product supply security, enhance market resilience, and promote price stability for consumers. By coordinating the refinery’s production with GOIL’s extensive downstream distribution and retail network, the two state-linked institutions seek to mitigate the impact of international oil price fluctuations and supply disruptions.

During the meeting, TOR Managing Director Edmond Kombat highlighted the refinery’s progress in ramping up operations and its ongoing transformation and optimization processes. As a key offtake partner, GOIL plays a vital role in supporting the refinery’s efforts to increase the availability of petroleum products within the Ghanaian market. Both organizations emphasized that this strengthened cooperation is essential for advancing national energy security.
