TEMAD calls for rights of non-commissioned officers in Turkey
Ercan Aktaş, the Bursa Branch President of the Retired Non-Commissioned Officers Association (TEMAD), has issued a call to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey and relevant ministries to address the rights of active and retired non-commissioned officers.
Aktaş stated that the group is seeking justice rather than privilege, highlighting that current salaries do not align with professional dignity due to high inflation and the economic crisis. Key demands include a new compensation system based on actual risk, seniority, and responsibility, as well as improvements to the additional indicator system to reflect education and job quality.
Furthermore, the association is calling for justice regarding duty and position compensations, promotion processes, and attrition pay. They also emphasized the need for better health, housing, education, and social facility opportunities, alongside the protection of family integrity during assignments.
