Temecula man accidentally kills 6-year-old son with Cybertruck
A six-year-old boy, Preston El Guindy, died Saturday night after being accidentally struck by a Tesla Cybertruck outside his family home in Temecula, California.
The driver, Terrick El Guindy, a 48-year-old judge for the Mr. Olympia bodybuilding competition, was backing the vehicle near Brookhaven Court shortly before 9 p.m. when the collision occurred. Preston was rushed to Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar but succumbed to his injuries that same night.
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) stated that the vehicle was not operating in Autopilot mode at the time of the incident. While El Guindy was questioned by authorities, he was not arrested. It remains unclear if any dashboard alerts provided warning of the child's presence behind the truck.
Family friends have established a GoFundMe to support the grieving family, describing Preston as a joyful child who had recently started first grade.
