Temel Alsancak accused of threatening former police in Europe
Former police chief Ahmet Karaoğlu has released testimony alleging that Temel Alsancak, a high-ranking FETÖ operative, used threats and intimidation to control former police officers living as asylum seekers in Europe.
Karaoğlu claims that Alsancak, who was involved in the planning of the Ambassador Karlov assassination, traveled from the United States to European countries, including Germany, to maintain organizational control. The allegations suggest that Alsancak pressured former members to remain within the group and continue organizational activities, even threatening those who wished to leave the organization or seek asylum by stating, “I will finish you, I will not grant you the right to life.”
The reports further allege that the group attempted to regroup former police officers under the guise of the International Police Association (IPA) Turkish branch. Karaoğlu also stated that during the July 15 coup attempt, instructions were sent via messaging platforms telling members “do not resist the coup plotters.”
